Půlmaratón okolo Nového Veselí

The half marathon around Nové Veselí is a traditional running race organized by AO TJ Sokol Nové Veselí, which has been held for 25 years. The main race of 21.1 km takes place on a loop course repeated three times, along asphalt roads and third-class roads with minimal elevation gain. In addition to the main race, shorter courses are available for youth, pupils, and preschool children, making the event attractive to a wide age range of runners. After the race, refreshments are provided, and the winner of the main race receives a monetary prize. The start is traditionally at the square in Nové Veselí.

Refreshment stations are located at both turns of the main race. After the race, refreshments are provided for all participants, with additional refreshments available at the volleyball club's buffet. The winner of the main race receives a monetary prize of 2000 CZK plus 1000 CZK for breaking the course record. Each runner can request a diploma with their placement and time achieved. The race will take place on June 28, 2026, with the main race starting at 9:45 AM. The event is open to the general public, including youth, veterans, and children.
