Race description
Sokolský běh republiky in Uherský Brod is a traditional race held on October 28th to celebrate the founding of Czechoslovakia. The main 5 km race runs from the Sokol stadium through the city center, across residential areas to the gardening colony, around a pond, and back to the stadium. For children, shorter distances of 0.17 km, 0.34 km, and 0.8 km are available, running around the stadium and adjacent park. All participants receive a start package and a beautiful medal in the shape of the republic at the finish line. Registration is possible on-site as well, and those under 18 can participate only with parental consent.
