Sokolský běh republiky - Uherský Brod

Sokolský běh republiky in Uherský Brod is a traditional race held on October 28th to celebrate the founding of Czechoslovakia. The main 5 km race runs from the Sokol stadium through the city center, across residential areas to the gardening colony, around a pond, and back to the stadium. For children, shorter distances of 0.17 km, 0.34 km, and 0.8 km are available, running around the stadium and adjacent park. All participants receive a start package and a beautiful medal in the shape of the republic at the finish line. Registration is possible on-site as well, and those under 18 can participate only with parental consent.

The race is conducted in a non-timed format, but results and winners are announced. Facilities at the Sokol stadium include toilets, showers, and changing rooms; refreshments are available at the start. Free parking is available at the nearby parking lot and around the Sokol hall. There is no accompanying program. The routes include 5 km for adults and 170 m, 340 m, 800 m for children; online registration is open until October 24, 2025; the event takes place in Uherský Brod; facilities include toilets, showers, changing rooms, refreshments, and free parking.
