Moravská Sázava

Moravská Sázava Ultra 50 is a challenging 50 km ultramarathon that follows the valley of the Moravská Sázava River from Zábřeh through Lázek to the river’s source on Buková hora. The route offers beautiful natural scenery, including Březná Nature Park and the Suchý vrch–Buková hora Nature Reserve, where the race also finishes. The total elevation change is 698 metres of descent and 1,369 metres of ascent. The race base is at Horský Resort Buková Hora, where runners can rest and refresh themselves after finishing. The race is suitable for runners looking for a challenge beyond a standard marathon but who do not want to take on an extreme 100 km mountain course.

Participants can hand in their own refreshment bags to be transported to the aid stations. Support is available only at aid stations. Check-in is from 10:00 at the start in the Zábřeh skatepark. Aid stations also serve as relay handover points. Soup with pasta is provided at the finish. Results are recorded both electronically and manually; the relay baton is a GPS tracker with online tracking. Participants can hand in labelled bags for the aid stations at the start. Personal support is allowed only at aid stations.
